Walking On A Dream

Dare to Dream

Dreamer by day

Dreamer by night

Mind stays in a constant daze

Constantly taking flight

You could be speaking with me

Letting off steam

And tell by my face I am drowning

In an ocean of dreams

How did I get here

It must be a dream

I swore there were

no such thing

As I stare in awe

At this great, big tree

This great, big tree

With cash money leaves

Right outside the back window

Come look and you’ll see

You’re whole life in this window

The American Dream

Thats there for who wants it

Open your palms and reach

But beware of who wants it

Gratitude or greed

The game of the dream

I suppose

A double edge sword

Everywhere that I go

I go for the tree

Jump in what I see

I travel to Europe

Take family with me

I grab what I want

I grab everything

I give when I’m able

Keep kindness in me

Pay off my debts

Learn how to invest

I’ll learn from the best

Have my parents impressed

I just want to inspire

To pass on this fire

To see you burn it brighter

Purpose comes with desire

What it requires

Is what you won’t see

You must be the creator

You are meant to be

Wake up now Josh

“Josh, are you listening to me?”

I was but got lost

Lost in this dream

I run outside to the back

And find only a tree

I go back inside

With a regular stick and some regular leaves

Look out of the window

And see only a tree

But in the hands of reflection

A cash money leaf

“All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. This I did.”

-T.E. Lawrence

“Imagination is more important than knowledge.”

-Albert Einstein

Live From the Cloud

Living The Dream Life

“Reporting live from Cloud 9 ladies and gentlemen!, we have Joshua here with us this cloud full day ready to show us his dream life!” “But first, I pass it over to Ron Burgundy to give us an update on the weather forecast for Cloudstrom” Ron answers, “Well random reporter, it looks like we’re in for some cotton balls this evening so be ready citizens. But don’t worry, we’ll be back to full white misty fluffiness in no time!. Stay classy San Diego. Stay classy.” Image result for ron burgundy

“And there you have it! Thanks Ron!”, Random Reporter shouts. “Next, grab your binoculars and let’s zoom in, take a sneak peak, and dive deep to look at everything that goes on in the dreams of Joshua. I’m a little nervous I must say, but how brave he! How brave he!” “Wow, thanks!, but I’m not comfortable with showing all of Cloudstrom all of my dreams ok. It’s only for these guys but thank you! Mucho, mucho Graci.”

Now, my dream life is full of joy, fun, and excitement. I get to do what I love which is inspiring, motivating, and expressing my ideas to the world about important topics to me and how I’ve learned through past experiences. Traveling anywhere I wish to go, at the time that wish to go, and as often as I wish to go.

An adventure every day. I get to take my family and friends with me to see the world. Imagine going to National parks, Rome, Italy, France, London, Japan, China, Korea, Australia, Canada, South America, Dubai, Switzerland, Iceland, New Zealand, New York, Montana, California, and many other places I can’t name off top. The things you would get to do and try there. The things you’d be able to see and experience with loved ones. Sky diving, hiking, scuba diving, bungee jumping, foods and much more.

I saw that in Australia there is a safari tour that you can go on as a passenger of a caged jeep. I’ve seen people skyline across the sky over the city of Dubai. I’ve read of a Pizza that cost $1000. What does a $1000 pizza taste like? I also get to help and support causes that I believe in. I’d love to donate to a non profit organization that makes a difference in peoples’ lives everyday. I’d love to help start up a shelter or organization that can help feed others and take part in that.

I get to help and invest in people I believe in. I get to provide financial support towards my son’s dreams and ambitions in life. I get to provide to a beautiful home to my family. I am able to grab the wedding of my girlfriend’s dreams and place it right in her lap. Imagine being able to have anything you want and putting smiles on top of smiles to your loved ones by providing and making them proud as can be.

Nobody can say that you failed, but that you took a risk by betting and believing in yourself so fiercely that you didn’t recognize risk at all. Imagine the feeling of true accomplishment without the pressure of having to answer to anyone but yourself. You wouldn’t feel like you were working one second because you’re too busy having fun doing what you love. You’d feel so fulfilled accomplishing what it is you set out to accomplish. Complete freedom. Wealth, health, and purpose.

Snap Back to Reality

Living Real Life

Currently, I have a blessed life with everything I need. I have an amazing family whose always there for each other. I have a beautiful girlfriend who is an amazing partner and team mate to have in this game of life, two children: an awesome 4 year old human boy who is full of curious play and wonder, and a 18 month old horse dog (he’s a big boy). I have a roof over my head, a bed to sleep on, and many activities available to keep me entertained.

I have a kitchen with food in it, clothes in my closet, a cell phone in my pocket, and internet to learn, watch programs, and communicate to you all. What I have now and did not have before is faith. Faith that I can realistically accomplish anything I focus the flames of ambition and desire upon as a worthy purpose to fulfill. A direction to head in. A map to follow.

Forgetfulness and distraction (in my opinion) are a dreamers worst enemy. These two are the roots that can easily take you into a state of selfishness and greed. States that root from fear and insecurity. States of hunger for power, lust, and animal indulgence. All of these states stem from ego. The part of you that needs recognition of significance and uniqueness. Beware of forgetfulness and distraction. They have gotten the best of me time and time again.

They come in pairs and will attack with no mercy at the first vulnerable soul that steps in their sight like two hungry hawks that are waiting to swoop down and take you out of your focus on your purpose. They can also come in the forms of people. People that you know and trust with all of your heart. People that are only looking out for what they think is best for you. Only you hold the power to choose your path.

They exist because they are necessary. Some need to be taken on a detour of lessons before they are ready to climb the ladder to the cloud that holds their most precious dreams. Few have climbed and conquered, some are climbing now, many haven’t even discovered the ladder yet, and for many more the ladder doesn’t even exist.

Many just aren’t ready. Many just simply don’t care to since they are already being/creating the dominating thoughts and beliefs that rest in their hearts which work for them.

What does your dream life consist of?

A Day in the Life of the Ideal you?

Applied Knowledge is Power

Don’t Just Have It, Use It

I agree with Einstein. I believe Imagination is far more important than knowledge, but knowledge is necessary. To fully believe in an idea is to know it is true. Knowledge can come from the internet, books, people, all forms of life, and experiences. The “moral of the story”. What was the experience there to teach you about yourself?

I find it fascinating to think that a passing car, something that was said in a song, or this blog post for that matter, could possibly carry a deeper meaning that is different to each individual, based on one’s events/experiences throughout one’s life.

I think one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned from one of my experiences is that happiness doesn’t come from anything external. Only from within. If you haven’t learned it by now, I am certain you will.

Happiness is a choice that hides behind reasons and excuses you attach to the idea that you are unhappy. In doing this, you have given away your power to an external source by giving it the purpose of putting you down. You either look through the windows of your soul choosing to see what you have and feel grateful for in your life, or your choosing to see what is missing and who/what to blame other than yourself for being the reason you are unhappy.

When it comes down to it, this all points to a belief that you are unhappy for whatever reason/excuse you are using. It comes down to a choice. Easier said than done. I cannot claim to be a master of staying aware of my reactions as they erupt from their volcanic positions at times, but I can say that I do my best to practice at every opportunity life provides. We have turned mindfulness into a skill.

When you take full and complete responsibility for your feelings, you take back that power from the external force that you believe is causing your unhappiness. You take back the power to change it. Not by changing the outside, but by changing the inside. Reflect, and begin to know thyself.

To change your outside environment, your beliefs about the environment must change. Its rooted so deep into the subconscious mind, so deep into the pits of your beliefs and desires that were placed there the minute you started learning. Absorbing everything in like a sponge.

I believe that you ultimately control you. If something external affects you, that is how you are choosing to react whether you know you are aware that you’re choosing the reaction or not. Someone who is suffering is constantly in a state of suffering. Always focusing on the drama of life, the pain of the world, and forgetting the joy, smiles, beauty, and perfection of the grand design of the world and it’s place in this universe. One cannot know and feel the light without first knowing and feeling the dark.

Someone out there is learning the harshest lesson right now as someone else who has learned what it is they are here to learn is fulfilling their purpose they have chosen to fulfill.

I’m sure there is some experience you’ve had that you’d consider to be a bad one, and can feel grateful for the lesson that came with the experience. I can think of plenty for me.

Everyone’s journey is their own journey full of the choices and pathways they choose to take from the options and opportunities presented throughout their experience. The thing to remember, and even in the roughest storms, is that nothing is by chance, coincidence, or mistake, but all by design. It is never about the storm itself, but the person you become once it reaches its end as the heroic Sun appears from behind the dark clouds that you’ve passed on for someone else to conquer.

The phrase, “God works in mysterious ways”, is not a common phrase for no reason.

“The day you decide that you are more interested in being aware of your thoughts than you are in the thoughts themselves – that is the day you will find your way out.”

-Michael Singer

“It is more blessed to give, than to receive.”

-Acts 20:35

“The happiest people in life are the givers, not the getters.”

“There can be no greater gift than that of giving one’s time and energy to help others without expecting anything in return.”

-Nelson Mandela

“It is not how much we give, but how much Love we put into giving.”

-Mother Teresa

Giving does not have to come in physical form. I’ve met many people that have given me so many experiences that all hold lessons hidden behind the curtains of love and wisdom.

I believe that life is not something that happens to you, but that life is something that responds to you as you behave and respond to it. All is creation and full of life including life itself.

Please Note

I’m Human

I do not by any means consider myself an expert or licensed anything, but simply someone who would like to share his findings from my research and many hours of lectures I’ve sat and listened to from scientists, philosophers, celebrities, physicists, eastern and western religions, articles, documentaries, and you name it. I thought to myself, “What a more perfect way to get some of my thoughts out than with a blog.”

Now, Here I Am.

I’ve looked many times for answers that lingered in my mind and each time I found the same answer explained many different ways by many different people. It has helped me greatly to choose to be exactly what it is we all long for.

Happy, grateful, joyful, loving, kind, understanding, forgiving, peaceful, calm, and accepting of life. I only hope to come and bring this information to you from a positive, helpful, and loving place.

  2. Thanks for following me today. I’m glad I found your blog. It’s full of wonderful positive thoughts! And since you’re shared so many great quotes here, I’d like to share one of my favorites with you.. Here it is… “A calling isn’t about your plan; it’s about your purpose. It isn’t a goal you set and plow through life to achieve; it’s a journey you spend your whole life discovering. But if you understand how it works, you’ll be able to participate in it, instead of simply watching it go by.” ~Jeff Goins
