Imagination

How Far Do You See?

In a world with no limits

Many times we’ve seen

What we see in that world,

Can be willed into existence

No boundaries can be

Unless thats all that you see

Stemmed from how you think

Rooted from what you believe

I see a powerful being

Faith the size of the skies

That creates anything

Behind thoughts and beliefs,

That get caught in it’s eyes

It can be a constant chatter

“I wonder if I did good.”

About things that don’t matter

“I wonder why they didn’t think I could.”

It’s hard to be friends with silence

When this world is never quiet

Creating your attachments

To fire and violence

It is only right now that we exist

Past has passed on

Future does not live

It is only now that we have as a gift

Break through limitations

And temptations

In the world beyond time,

The imagination

Expand from beliefs

So you are able to reach

New heights and new dreams

You can now choose to see

For it was God in humility

The spirit of creation

Who created all things

In the kingdom of no limits

I believe

We were imagined

Before we came to be

The essence lives in all

Living things

Behind the judgements

Deep underneath

We are all the same essence

Connected

Through an essence that sings

A song of love, joy

And creativity

“Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.”

-Albert Einstein

“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere.”

-Carl Sagan

“First comes thought; then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination.

-Napoleon Hill

“The imagination is the golden pathway to everywhere.”

-Terence McKenna

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

-Hebrews 11:1

What Is The Imagination?

I’ve always been fascinated beyond words at the imagination. I can’t imagine being the only one who wonders about the imagination and what purpose it plays in this life. If you think about it, you have trip after trip within your imagination every single day. At least I do. Sometimes without even knowing it.

The funniest part about the trips I have at times is: I play out the worse case scenario in a situation or play out how someone else is going to respond/react to my response/reaction in a situation. I start feeling worried, nervous, anxious, pressured, and leaves me questioning myself about a decision that needs to be made in this dramatic/actionable scene playing out in this moment or moments of my life to come.

I play out the scenario of how you are going to react and respond to the articles I am writing which can, and most of the time does lead to feelings of worry, nervousness, insecurity, anxiousness, pressure, and leaves me questioning myself about a decision that needs to be made.

Once I’ve realized this and decide to change the shades I am wearing, I am able to have a good laugh at myself for internally making a big deal about nothing. I take a step back to see that I am just doing what I choose and feel good doing.

I change the scenario.

I picture myself simply expressing my thoughts and beliefs I’ve attached to this veil I’ve chosen to see through that make up my reality. I remember my goal of inspiring and positively impacting as many people as I possibly can. I choose to play out that scenario and see myself succeeding in that goal by even inspiring one person in this world.

I see myself learning from others as they express their beliefs and thoughts on the idea I’ve chosen to write about. I take the viewpoint of a child when playing out my goal, in a sense that there are no limitations within my imagination on what I am able to accomplish. I flip the feelings of worry, nervousness, insecurity, anxiousness, pressure, and self-doubt, into Excitement, Compassion, Focus, Faith, Opportunity for growth, Adventurous, Fun, Calmness, and Confidence.

I keep an eye open for any negative scenarios that sneak their way onto the stage of my imagination, and instead change them into positive scenarios that will receive a standing ovation after the play and benefits everyone involved.

This turns the imagination into a most powerful tool. Like all tools, they must be used and applied correctly. I believe that everything you are watching, reading, dancing to, listening to, and focusing your attention on, will dominate your imagination and the scenarios that play out for you unless you grab the reigns.

You ever ask yourself why advertisements are so repetitive? Why they show you the same thing over and over? Why the commercials are now louder than the actual show that your watching?

Your imagination is a vast universe with a blank canvas laying over it, you just have to change the painting. The mind is the one who paints the pictures. You are the one observing the pictures being painted.

If you don’t give the paint that is needed for your picture to the mind, the mind will be painting someone else’s picture instead, and with someone else’s paint.

“See, I can’t never quit when it get hard. You quit, you’re going backwards. You’re going backwards, you’re dead. No, I take it. And I take it, and I Flip it. I goes forward. I live.”

-Chadwick Boseman as James Brown in the film, “Get On Up”

And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

-Matthew 18:3

“Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become reality.”

-Earl Nightingale

“Every facet, every department of your mind, is to be programmed by you. And unless you assume your rightful responsibility, and begin to program your own mind, the world will program it for you.”

-Jack Kornfield
